Green gram Curry:
Excellent nutritious dish which is prepared using green gram. Green gram curry is evening snacks to all age groups particularly good for school going children.
Ingredients of Green gram curry:
- Green gram: 100g
- Fennel: 2g
- Cinnamon: little bit
- Onion :25g (chopped)
- Green chilli: 4 to 5 (chopped)
- Curry leaves- cut into small pieces
- Coriander leaves -cut into small pieces.
Preparation of Green gram curry:
Take Green gram , Fennel and Cinnamon and grind them in a grinder like how we grind for Idly. Add salt when we grind these ingredients for seasoning.
Then steam it using Idli cooker like how we cook Idli. After it cooked completely, cut those idlis into small pieces.
Now, put a pan in stove and add 1-2 table spoon of groundnut oil. Then put mustard with black gram and Bengal dhal.
Add chopped onion , green chilli and curry leaves. Fry it till it turn brown in color. Then add the cut pieces of idlis. Add some tumeric and salt for seasoning while we do fry with pieces of idlis.
Finally add some grated coconut.
Now, it is ready to serve.
It is very healthy snack for all aged in evening. 🙂
