Homemade french fries is a easy snacks prepared using Potato and few more ingredients. It is healthy and delicious snacks for all age group of people.
We can make chili potato in two ways. Here I’m going to tell about how to make like culiflower chili or corn chili.
Ingredients required for making homemade french fries:
*Potato-2 medium (rinsed well, Pealed and sliced like lengthy rectangular pieces)
*Ginger and garlic paste – 2 teaspoon
*ground nut oil- 2 table spoon
*Onion -1 peeled and sliced
*Green chili- 2 cut each into two pieces
*Soya -1 tablespoon (Soak it in water for 5 hours and grind it into fine paste)
*Tomato – 1(Grind it into fine paste after removing all seeds)
*Capsicum -1(sliced into small pieces)
*Tomato sliced vertically -1 after removing seeds
*Salt to taste
*Red chili- 5 (Ground into fine paste)
*Coriander leaves -small quantity to adorn.
Preparation of chili potato:
Firstly take the sliced potato. Rinse it with water by adding 1 teaspoon of salt with it. Keep it aside.
Secondly, put pan on stove. But set the stove in medium flame. Then let the pan heat for some time.
Add oil to it. Then let the oil heats well like 70 degree C. Then put a bunch of sliced potato into oil to fry it till it half cooked.
Cool the fries for some time. Again fry the potato slices until it turns light brown. Then keep it aside.
Now, take all ingredients soyabean paste, tomato pulp, chili sauce, sliced onion, sliced capsicum, salt, Coriander leaves, curry leaves and ginger garlic paste.
Put another pan on the stove. But set stove in medium flame. Let the pan heat for some time.
Add ginger garlic paste and fry it well. In addition put onion, green chili, curry and coriander leaves. Fry them well till onion turns light brown.
Now add the soya paste, chili sauce and tomato pulp. Then add salt. Fry them well. And add some water and let them boil to make gravy.
Once they become gravy , add the fried potato and mix them well and cook for 2-4 minutes until it the potato observes the gravy aroma.
You can fry it as dry french fry without gravy. Finally our homemade french fries is ready to taste. If you want it in gravy form, add some hot water and fry for sometime. Turnoff the stove once we got the gravy in right form.
In both way you can use it as side dish to chappati, roti or rice. And we can eat as snacks.
So, every mom prepare as evening snacks and give it to your children. Certainly they like this recipe.
